Welcome to our blog, Live and Love! Will and I are completely new at blogging, so please bear with us as we share with you our life journey so far! We feel compelled at this point in our lives together to document the day-to-day, weekly, monthly, hourly experiences, growth, and changes that are happening in our lives in hopes that others will be able to relate to us and know that we are all struggling and learning, taking two steps forward and two steps back at times as life throws you curve balls. But, in the end, it’s all good! and with faith we can make it through anything that is put in our path. Over the last 7 or 8 months, I would say, (in the midst of only our 2nd year of marriage!) we have had some serious inner soul-searching individually and as a couple. There were month periods, where we would argue literally every day… and all I knew to do was get on my knees and pray. Mind you, as we can all be consumed with worldly desires and passions, prayer was not always my answer, however. Arguing back in my strong-willed, independent demeanor was oftentimes my reaction… and these instances never turned out for the best – instead, they left me feeling defeated, frustrated, hurt and broken. And I know Will felt the same.
Today, however, we are well into this period of growth (filled with turmoil, tears, & lots of change) and I am able to look back at each of these challenges and instances and see that it was all part of the plan. Will and I both are people filled with great passion – – the biggest challenge for us so far has been WHAT is this passion for and how do we seek it, listen to it and then follow the path it is leading us down? We have realized that this passion is to help each other and others, and truly make a difference in the world… there has to be more to life than this every day life we are living now. Why are we working? What are we trying to make all of this money for? The truth is, we know that this is not what life is all about. It is about so much more! And that is our goal – – follow our inner passion and this light that is telling us to go! Get outside of our comfort zone, take risks (big risks!). We are doing this together and we are going to light the world on fire! Yes, some days it is scary as hell, but TODAY I know in my heart, this is right where we are supposed to be. Can’t wait to share with you where we have been and where the road leads us from here!!
